We left an hour late due to sickness and the company having to find a replacement driver. 2 of the party needed to be back by a certain time so unfortunately we didn’t get the full allocated time. Adrian, the replacement driver was excellent although sitting in the back of the boat it was extremely difficult to hear his commentary. We saw a few whales, one fairly close, and lots of very smelly sea lions. Overall, it was good fun.

Our guide Ed was fantastic wry experienced, funny, so knowledgeable about the orcas and other whales. We would go with orca spirit Adventures again. Such a great experience!

Ed, our skipper, was a wealth of knowledge and answered all of our questions. I was impressed with his knowledge and skills but also with his passion and respect for the whales and other marine life. I highly recommend Orca Adventures and Ed as a skipper!

When the captain made sure all the other guests were happy. I took my nephew who turned 15 with my other nephew and we kept getting separated by the captain. Less than good. Everyone else he made happy.

Trip was amazing. It makes the experience feel more valuable being able to be so close to the water rather than on a large ship with windows and a deck. We saw orcas and humpbacks and they are gorgeous. Our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable.

Ollie the otter stole the show. Lots of fun. No orcas but we did see whales. Our guide was great, would definitely recommend.

I had a fantastic time whale watching! We saw a humpback whale, harbour porpoise, seals, sea lions and bald eagles! Our guide, Mick, was awesome and provided us with great information and I felt very safe with him driving the boat. Great tour and would book it again!

Tour leader was great. Full of knowledge and very accommodating. Got to see Sealions, Orcas and many Whales. Good walk to Mildenhall Glacier lookout too. Just to be clear, its not to the glacier but a lookout with a good view of the glacier.

Whale Watching with Wind and Swells

We had a wonderful experience. It was 20-30 knots and the swells were 3-4’ and it was still fun. My daughter was laughing out loud during the trip and she got to see a whale. Mission accomplished. Mick was a great guide and the employees were wonderful, as I forgot to get my eye glasses out of the pocket of safety-suit. They were able to find them and it was a huge relief. FYI, there’s is small storage under the seats for purses and small backpacks. On windy days, hats will fly off and the spray will cover your glasses/sunglasses. I just took mine off and could still see fine. Worth every penny.

The entire experience was wonderful! From check in, to our amazing captain Jordan!!! And the fact that we saw TWO orca whales and even an added sighting of seal island! It was all great!

We went really far to see some orchas for a short period of time and at a really good distance. With the winds (40 knots), the return was terrible and that’s all what we’ve seen. No sea lions or anything else. Those were the results of the choices made by the captain. No one will make me believe that with today’s technology, those winds were not predictables. Sorry but that was a big waste of money for an extreme boat tour that was not enjoyable at all.

All of our vessels are in communication with each other and the other whale watching vessels in the industry before and during tours. Had wildlife been spotted at a closer distance, requiring less travel, your captain would have taken you to those animals. These rigid hull inflatable vessels are known for their ability to handle all types of weather and water conditions, while still offering a safe and exciting ride. Zodiac vessels are known for their safety, durability and seaworthiness; they are the vessel of choice for Coast Guards around the world. Passenger safety is our number one priority and our captains are trained and certified in operating the vessel in all wind, weather, and sea conditions. Your captain did his best to maneuver the vessel in the most comfortable way for all guests onboard, however, despite his best efforts, the conditions caused a more turbulent ride. An incredible experience. Adrian, our guide was the best. We got to follow a little group of orcas for a while. We saw humpback whale and seals as well. I couldn’t stop smiling. We learned a lot about humpbacks, seals and orcas. I totally recommend the tour.

We went on the Orca Spirit to spot Whales and Orcas, we were three adults and a five year old child.We found the whole experience very informative and very professional. We would repeat it again for sure and we got to see amazing views of the majestic sea mammals in their habitat. Breath taking
