Für das, was aufgrund von Covid offen war, hatten wir einen angenehmen Besuch. Eine Reihe von interaktiven Displays und Exponaten waren nicht verfügbar. Wir werden auf jeden Fall in Zukunft wiederkommen, um es wieder zu sehen.

Great history timeline in the museums, filled with artifacts, short films, engaging actors and recreations. We loved the interactive settlements and ship replicas. Very informative, touched on every aspect and put it all into perspective.

Feeling so retrospective. You can feel the emotion of who ever lived in the 16th century on that land. Unfortunately the museum closes at 5, hope it can extend their operational hours.

My teenagers where not that thrilled about going on a history trip But once we entered the settlement and got to step back in time they changed their time. We completed the historic triangle with visits to yorktown American revolution museum, riverwalk in Yorktown ( go to the beach) JAmestown settlement… eat at the cafe, and a pirate, witches abs ghost tour in colonial williamsburg. It truly made for a great family vacation and lots of wonderful memories were made.

Having the freedom to visit for any of 7 days is a real treat. Especially since the museum is big, with a lot of exhibits telling about life in the days of the settlement. Loved the ships!!

The Yorktown Revolutionary Museum was so educational. We really loved it. The Old Jamestown Settlement was worth the visit. However, after getting our tickets at Yorktown and the sticker to wear one lady at Jamestown Settlement was extremely rude and really awful and mean. She was an older ( kinda overweight) African American. I really wanted to tell her how she came across to us but we didn’t. People like her should not be working with the public. She gave me the same sticker to wear I was already wearing. Rudest person we came across in visiting the area. She spoiled our memories in this area for sure.

Really great experience in Jamestown. We felt that the exhibition centre, fort, Powhatan village and harbour with reconstructed vessels really brought it all to life. We particularly appreciated the balanced representation across all communities - settlers, Native Americans and Angolans. The interwoven fabric of early 1600s Chesapeake life, encompassing the backgrounds, circumstances, diets, lifestyles, peace and conflict was exceptionally profiled. Thank you. A great way to end our US summer holiday.

The Jamestown settlement was great. Lots of good information. Yorktown has lots of different options. You need at least 2 hours at the museum with inside and outside exhibits.

Settlement depiction of history was excellent. The outside attractions of the vessels, fort, and Indian village was very interesting to view and witness The American Revolution Museum is excellent. Well worth seeing. It is well done. The outside attractions are well displayed with in-character presentation. We are very glad we included both the settlement and museum in our trip. Very impressed.

This was a most extraordinary experience. Even my kids who moaned and groaned about going to a “museum” had the most amazing time. It really brought colonial America to life and is perfect for all ages. I definitely recommend and wish we could spend more than one day there.
