Elizabeth was a great tour guide with lots of knowledge of the history and funny uses of old sayings. She was quite entertaining. My only feedback is that our tickets instructed us to meet at a specific address that did not correspond to any marked place. We were 30 minutes late joining the tour after we contacted Elizabeth for directions to meet up with the group. Why not give the specific landmark where the tour will meet up and begin?

History in 2 hours!

Perfect tour for someone who has few hours at Williamsburg and want to understand the colonial history. You won’t get go see the capitol and other gentry houses from inside but will learn a lot more about those houses and associated history during this walking tour!

Great insights from a local expert. Small group size helped us capture the full experience. Guide tried to stop in the shade as much as possible, since it was a hot day.

An excellent overview!

This tour was fantastic! Between origins of phrases we use today to excellent storytelling and history lessons, we really learned a lot. It was not strenuous exercise, and you walked about 30 steps then stopped for more information. It was about 1hr and 45 minutes, true to advertising. You'd want to spend more time going into the buildings, but this was a great way to get the lay of the land.

Can't express how much we enjoyed the tour with Tom. His knowledge and patients are outstanding and we learned so much.
