What To Expect

Head to Toulouse Street in the French Quarter and board your beautiful riverboat. This paddlewheel ship — one of the last of its kind in New Orleans — will transport you back to the 19th century when ports bustled with produce-laden cargo ships, steamboats, and clandestine privateering.

Take a stroll along the deck as you begin the journey along the Mississippi River. Then have a seat in the cabin or on the outside deck, where you’ll get unobstructed views of the striking shoreline at dusk, and soak up some live jazz tunes from the Grammy-nominated Dukes of Dixieland, a true New Orleans-style band.

As for dinner, your Creole-inspired meal might includes favorites like from chicken and sausage gumbo and cheesy penne pasta. Top it off with signature bread pudding accompanied by coffee and tea.

Your evening cruise ends back at the departure point in the French Quarter.

We didn’t want the big meal so we elected to eat at the Captain’s Saloon. After having to listen to the narrator repeat himself a dozen times we made our way to the lower deck and headed to the Saloon. We tried to walk in but 30 to 40 people were already standing in line. We got in line and waited over an hour to order food. And by the way almost everything was sold out. All I could get was nachos with cold cheese sauce. So we basically missed all the sights on the whole cruise. What a waste of money.
Good time, great value.

On time, alright food for a brief river cruise, great band, well-organized crew. We got a little confused about the early dinner seating time but everything when well since we arrived early. The lady jazz singer should do a few more songs; really liked her singing (apology for not catching the introduction (bar visit🙂).

I booked a group of 9 friends for my husband birthday celebration on 2/24/24 and I was disappointed in the waitress attitude and there was was leaking over head from the ceiling right above behind my guest head. We were informed the a/c system was leaking. We were asked to move immediately after we had received our food. The waitress did not inform us when to start at the buffet. After witnessing other guest in the food line I asked the waitress if it was ok that we proceed to the buffet line and she said you can go when you are ready. I feel had I not asked, she would not have mentioned. She did not explain that there was a charge for Arnold Palmers and lemonade. I paid over $900.00 for the evening jazz cruise for 9 guest and we were very disappointed at the treatment received.
A wonderful experience on the Natchez

The experience of being on a boat of that magnitude, the history of the boat, and just the beauty of the water.
A great mix of museum, food and music

I am writing the company a separate letter requesting a refund. We booked the dinner cruise for February 20th weeks ago. Upon arriving, we learned that there was a private party, really a business company, also booked. We were seated in the dining area and had a nice buffet, listening to the Dukes of Dixieland. But upon finishing our meal, we were told that we had to leave the dining are for a private party. Actually, there were two additional parties/seatings. We were not allowed back inside and had to spend the evening outside in the chilly air, and the band remained inside. My wife attempted to go inside to use the restroom, but was told she couldn't, as it was a private party. One of the bars was also closed off to us. A managerial employee named Mark Lewis, saw us and apologized, saying this shouldn't have happened. But the entire evening, which we really were looking forward to, was ruined. We spent $210 and it was a waste. Before booking, make sure you don't get pushed out and treated like we did. We should get our money back.
Not as expected for cost of cruise.

Watching the ships passing by. The food was very good. The only negative is that there was no announcement telling us when we could get seated in the dining room. We waited for our 7:45 seating but found out that people had seated themselves right away so when we got there most of the tables were taken. Also paying $95 a person for dinner plus $95 each for the cruise is way too much money for what you got.

The entire experience was amazing! The food was incredible and plentiful. A definite must do trip in New Orleans.
Great cruise highly recommended
Angie_B, Feb 2024
Went for the option of 7pm cruise only no food option. What I saw of the food looked ok, buffet style & served to your table. Very relaxing cruise on the Mississippi River . Great photos & checked out the engine room which was cool. The live jazz band played for the most part of the cruise & were great with a female singer who was just as good. Great atmosphere in the main bar.
Nice cruise

We love that 10/10! We hope you return.
Great times on the Mississippi River!
Jazmine_F, Feb 2024
Dinner and music was great. Staff (some), not so much. It was also freezing when we went so we didn’t get to enjoy walking around the boat or enjoy the sights. Overall a great experience though, with a few minor hiccups. Would still recommend.
Response from Host, Feb 2024
Thank you for recommending us. We are having an unseasonably cool winter so we can understand that strolling the decks was not quite the same as a warmer time period.
Best Valentine’s Day ever
Bertha_G, Feb 2024
